Imam Khomeini's leadership inspired the Islamic Awakening

A prominent scholar has emphasized that the unique leadership of Imam Khomeini has inspired the recent ongoing wave of the Islamic Awakening across the Muslim World.

Secretary-General of the International Association of University Professors, Sohrab Salahi, gave the participants a full briefing on the sidelines of the summit in Tehran.

The summit, held with the theme of advancing justice and religious democracy, began in the Iranian capital, Tehran, on Monday.

A large number of scholars and university professors from across the globe highlighted that how the distinctive leadership and thought of the great Imam could help the Islamic and oppressed nations in determining their democratic and progressive future.

It is worth-mentioning that at least 250 scholars and university professors from foreign universities and 350 professors from the Iranian universities and educational centers participated in this significant summit.

The relatives of those nuclear scientists who were martyred by the Zionist agents in recent months also took an active part in the meeting.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad delivered an inaugural speech while the high-profile guests were received by Ali Akbar Velayati, Secretary General of the World Assembly of Islamic Awakening and the Supreme Leader's advisor on international affairs.

Addressing the academic scholars of the international conference, Velayati said it was the “new regional and global atmosphere” that made such achievements possible.

The scholars concluded that the current wave of the Islamic Awakening across the Muslim world has been inspired by the Islamic revolution and the late Imam’s precious thought and unique leadership.
