The great Imam believed that the honorable prophet was a perfect role model for all humanity and his dynamic divine message was universal and could relieve human beings from material and spiritual sufferings.
The knowledgeable Imam always introduced the holy Prophet as the perfect human and frequently cited to following Quranic verse:
“(It) had been for you in God's messenger a good example/mode.”
He mentions that if anybody wants to know the holy prophet should learn and know the Holy Quran. This point is also mentioned in the traditions that characteristics and traits of the honorable prophet were based on Quran.
He used to release regular messages, delivered speeches on the birth and death anniversary of the holy prophet, and invited all Muslims to unite under flag of Islam and Quran by forgetting all differences and divisions among the Islamic sects.
The great Imam also emphasized that the messenger of God was perfect manifestation of Divine' mercies and justice.
According to Imam Khomeini, the holy prophet used to observe the same principle in behaving the believer and disbeliever, the Muslim and the pagan, and he intended the guidance and salvation for all.
"The holy prophet of Islam was not only merciful and well-wisher to the believers, but also for the disbelievers. He would become worried if the disbelievers had remained in their disbelief. This disbelief could cause to remain them in hell fire. He used to show his mercifulness even to them. He used to invite them so they can get rid of and find the disbelievers and sinful people a way to the salvation,” Imam Khomeini said (Sahifeh-ye Imam, vol. 8, p. 379)
He also had firm beliefs that the dynamic teachings of the holy prophet could relieve all oppressed nations from clutches of imperial and brutal powers across the globe.
