Human rights from viewpoint of Islam with focus on Imam Khomeini’s position in this regard

In this thesis I have examined first the roots of Islam’s human rights and also that group of human being’s basic rights that have been noted in Islam’s teachings and their impact cannot be seen in human rights global declarations and other related treaties. Then I have noted the existing comparative methods between human rights concepts and Islam’s decrees and I have examined the cases about which there is a disagreement.

Although that period as far as time is concerned was very short its incidents and happenings were very important and decisive. This thesis is written based on value consensus theory of Chalmers Johnson. In that period the role played by the government, the army, the revolution’s leadership and groups that opposed the regime and also foreign countries and particularly the U.S. is very important.
