Ayatollah Seyyed Hassan Khomeini said that there is nothing more important than shielding unityat a time when tough circumstances have surrounded the globe.
He emphasized on paving the way of a fostering unity, solidarity, unity of expression and mutual care among all stratum of the society.
The Muslim scholar also underscored the importance of this year’s message by Supreme leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei who designated the current year as a year of “Government and Nation; Solidarity and Harmony.”
Ayatollah Seyyed Hassan Khomeini also said that he had registered his candidacy for the forthcoming elections to the Assembly of Experts as obedience to Imam Khomeini’s path and commands.
On Friday, he along with some members of Imam’s family Seyyed Hassan Khomeini took his national ID to the ministry of the interior in the Iranian capital, Tehran to register for the poll.
The Muslim scholar has told a press briefing that he was entering the elections for the council as an independent candidate.
The landmark vote will take place on February 26, 2016. The vote for the council is being held on the same day as the parliamentary elections.
The victory of the Islamic Revolution under the wise leadership of Imam strengthened the democratic institutions in Iran and changed the balance of power in the interests of the Muslim and oppressed nations.
