In response to confront seeds of discord sowed by enemies among Muslims, the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, on the auspicious birthday anniversary of the holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) came up with the idea of the Islamic Unity Week.
This was based on the strategy of the Islamic Republic to avoid enemy traps and instead strengthen unity among Muslims.
