According to Imam, thankfulness is natural to human beings, and our very nature calls upon us to express gratitude to our benefactors. If we examine the book of our own hearts, we will find this principle inscribed within us. Our sense of respect and gratitude toward a benefactor increases in proportion to the generosity of the benefits we receive, particularly when that generosity is free from selfish motives. The greater the selflessness of the benefactor, the greater our sense of gratitude should be.

True spiritual growth requires not only inner sincerity but also steadfast adherence to the teachings of Islam, continuous self-discipline, and reliance upon God’s mercy and guidance.
