Imam Khomeini Stayed Away from Luxury Lifestyle

The founder of the Islamic Republic has had adopted a very simple life style which were appreciated by devotees across the world.

Imam followed conduct of the holy prophet of Islam and his infallible successors and stayed away from luxurious life style at all stages of his life.

Relatives say some time Imam had paved all the way to yard in a cold and snowy weather in a bid to turn off the light. He had never asked his family members and others to do his personal jobs.

Imam had attached great significance to his religious duties as well. He used to complete the recitation of the holy Quran for several times in a year.

The spiritual leader managed to frequently recite the supplications by infallible successors of the honorable prophet. Imam maintained that supplications contain the interpretation of the holy Quran.

Imam had always led a simple lifestyle and helped deprived stratum.

The founder of the Islamic Republic led very simple life before and after the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979 and spared no efforts in rendering help to the most poor and needy classes of the society.

The great figure of the history distributed all his inheritance among the local farmers and laborers.

He also opted to live at the edge of the holy city of Qom among deprived classes of people while he was teaching at the Islamic seminaries.

After Imam’s exile to Turkey and holy city of Najaf in Iraq, Imam’s residences were almost devoted to for the seminary students and they used to consult these sites to resolve their educational and financial problems.

Before and after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Imam was granted with hectors of lands and precious gifts by believers and faithful. However, the great Imam distributed all these properties among the needy farmers and workers.

Many scholars and intellectuals believe that the founder of the Islamic Republic truly exemplified the true and genuine teachings of the holy prophet of Islam and his infallible successors in his lifestyle.
