Imam Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic revived pure and genuine teachings of Quran and Islam.

The great Imammade clear that he with the public support establish an Islamic -democratic system following the victory of the historic revolution in Iran in 1979.  

Imam undertook practical steps to revive the real perspectives of divine religion of Islam by displaying its dignity and restoring grandeur to the Muslim nations and Islamic societies. 

The great leader used to express his thanks for the young generation for their contribution to reviving the real and true face of Islam in contemporary era when the whole world is being plunged into social and moral decline.

Imam told the young generation that the world stands in need and quest of real Islamic teachings and they don't need to scare of any colonial power houses.  

The founder of the Islamic Republic used to emphasize that the nation has defended itself and defeated the powers of the East and the West during the tough years of imposed war.

The war imposed by the enemies have brought bounties for the nation as our people have learned lessons of rendering sacrifices and  have resulted in the nation's sufficiency in all fields without relying on external powers. 

Imam Khomeini triumphant return to Iran

These days coincides with glorious triumphant return of the great religious leader Imam Khomeini to Iran after more than 14 years in exile.

Up to five million people lined the streets of the nation's capital, Tehran, to witness the homecoming of the Shia Muslim imam.

Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini was imprisoned by the brutal regime of Shah in 1963 for his opposition to reforms and was sent to exile the following year, to Iraq - via Turkey.

He spent the last few months of his exile in France, near Paris, from where he co-ordinated the revolution that forced the Shah of Iran to flee Iran and go into hiding.

Thousands of policemen deployed by then puppet regime of Bakhtiar, a premier installed by Shah,  quickly lost control outside the Mehrabad airport over the crowds who were eager to catch a glimpse of the man who has been their spiritual inspiration.

The great Imam openly spoke out in gathering of millions against the puppet regime of Prime Minister Shahpur Bakhtiar.

Bakhtiar was forced to step down as prime minister less than two weeks later.

The great leader appointed a transitional government to organize referendum and elections. Imam Khomeini led the established and guided the Islamic government and declared an Islamic Republic in Iran at the beginning of April 1979.
