International festival on Imam Khomeini poetry

An international festival on the poetic works of the founder of the Islamic Republic has been held in the Iranian capital, Tehran.

Inaugurating the opening ceremony, Hojjat al-Islam Ali Komsari, the cultural director of the institute for compilation and publication of Imam Khomeini works, said that the festival of this year focuses on analysis about dynamic thought of the great leader of Muslims.


He pointed out that the poetry is the best manner and method to promote imam’s thought and message around the globe.


The pundits maintain that Imam’s philosophical, mystic, jurisprudential and divine thought are well embedded in his poetry.  


Competent poets from Iran and other regional countries are attending the festival of great significance.


Sources say the poets from Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, India and Egypt have sent their works to the secretariat of the festival.


Imam Khomeini poetic verses contain mystical treasures and deep insightful wisdom.


The poetry and several other works of the founder of the Islamic Republic have been translated in Hindi and Urdu languages and are widely welcomed by the readers across the Indian subcontinent.


The collection of poetry of the Muslim world's spiritual and religious leader has been published in English, Arabic, Urdu, Chinese and some other languages.


Imam has mentioned several ethical, moral and religious concepts in form of poetry.


Dozens of Imam's works have been translated in several languages over the past years and are widely welcomed by a various range of readers across the globe.


Imam has left several works on jurisprudence, Hadith, Quranic interpretation, philosophy and mysticism. The great leader's genuine teachings and works would continue to guide the generations to come in coming decades.
