I felt it was my turn

On one of those days when it was my turn to wash the dishes, I was feeling a bit fatigued. So I asked my sister to take over the responsibility and wash them instead of me – but she refused. It was almost noon and about time for His Eminence the Imam’s ritual prayer. He had gone to perform ablutions once again but because he was taking long, I became worried and went to the kitchen in search of him. I suddenly noticed that the Imam had washed all the dishes. He looked at me and stated: “I overheard what you said and felt that it was my turn (to wash the dishes).” I felt embarrassed and ashamed and just managed to thank him.
