Foreign figures pledge allegiance to Imam Khomeini Ideals

Hundreds of foreign guests have pledged allegiance to the divine ideals of the founder of the Islamic Republic by visiting his holy Shrine.

The foreign guests attending a four-day 6th General Assembly of the AhlulBayt World Assembly opened in Tehran paid pledged to continue the ideals and key divine objectives of the late Imam Khomeini. The foreign religious scholars also performed prayers which were led by Imam Khomeinis grandson, Seyyed Hassan Khomeini. The grandson of the founder of the Islamic Republic also held several separate meetings with prominent religious and cultural figures on the sidelines of the pilgrimage at the holy shrine. Several domestic, regional and international issues were reportedly discussed during the sessions. The 6th General Assemly of the Ahlul Bayt (AS) World Assembly is being held from August 15 to 18, 2015 in Tehran. This year about 1,800 prominent Shia figures from 130 countries have been invited to the meeting. The speakers during the summit are expected to emphasize that all Muslims should remain united to thwart the plot and illustrate Islam as the religion of peace. The Islamic Revolution under the wise leadership of Imam Khomeini influenced the international system and changed equation of power in the interest of the Muslim and oppressed nations. Imam Khomeinis holy shire is located on the suburbs of the Iranian capital Tehran and is visited by thousands of domestic pilgrims and foreign devotees each year.
