Institute marks founding anniversary

A ceremony has been held to mark the founding anniversary of the institute for compilation and publication of Imam Khomeini’s works.

The ceremony was held at Imam Khomeini and Islamic Revolution Research Center which is located close to the holy shrine of the founder of the Islamic Republic in the Iranian capital, Tehran. 

The session was attended by Ayatollah Seyyed Hassan Khomeini, the grandson of the father of the Islamic Revolution, Dr. Fatima Tabatabai, the daughter-in-law of Imam Khomeini, Majid Ansari, Hassan Rouhani’s vice president for parliamentary affairs, Hamid Ansari, deputy head of the institute, Dr. Mohammad Moghaddam, the head of international department and several other senior officials. 

The scholars made speeches and delivered lectures in order to promote Imam Khomeini’s works, ideals and dynamic thought among various walks of people and young generation. 

Earlier, the participants also visited Imam’s holy mausoleum to pay their tribute and pledge allegiance to his ideals. 

The session ended with closing speech by Ayatollah Hassan Khomeini, who delivered guidance and recommendations to enhance the progress of the institute for coming years. He also put emphasis on the need for constructive criticism in order to enhance progress of the institute. 

The great Muslim scholar also highlighted the necessity of devising short and long terms strategies to promote Imam Khomeini’s works, thought and ideals among young people. 

It is noteworthy that the institute was established in 1996 to accomplish this mission of great significance and protect the works from being distorted.

Dozens of Imam Khomeini’s works have been compiled and translated into various languages over the past years.
