Cleric insist on shielding values of holy defense

A senior cleric has put emphasizes on protecting the values of the holy defense during imposed war for the next generations.

Ayatollah Noor Mofidi, the leader of congregational Friday prayers in Gorgan Province, said that those individuals who have closely experience of the era of the holy defense should transfer the values to the next generations.

Pointing to the imposed war by the then Iraqi dictator Saddam in the 1980s, he went onto say that just wiring books and compiling of memoirs about those days of the imposed war wouldn’t be sufficient and enough.

Iranian people displayed unprecedented unity during the eight-year war and defended their country and the divine and human values.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Ayatollah Mofidi said that the criticism was vital, but the violence and use of forces is totally prohibited while dealing and handling various issues and matters.
