Hassan Khomeini attends remembrance ceremony

The grandson of the founder of the Islamic Republic has attended a ceremony held in remembrance of Ayatollah Abolghassem Khazali.

The ceremony was held on the 40the day since the passing of the Ayatollah Abolghassem Khazali and was attended by people from various walks of life and seminary and university scholars. 

 In a message earlier released Ayatollah Hassan Khomeini, the grandson of Imam Khomeini described late Khazali as a great supporter of Imam and the Islamic Revolution.

He had also prayed to God that his departed soul may rest in Heaven and grant his family and loved ones the patience. 

Ayatollah Abolghassem Khazali, one of the co-authors of the Islamic Republic Constitution and member of the Assembly of Experts passed away in mid September

Born on March 21, 1925, the late Ayatollah was the former member of the Guardian Council and head of Al Ghadir International Foundation from the outset. Before the 1979 Islamic Revolution, he was one of the leading opponents of the Shah regime who was imprisoned several times.
