Tehran 2015 Intl. media exhibition wraps up

The closing ceremony of international exhibition of media and press has been held in the Iranian capital, Tehran.

 The  international exhibition of media and press has been wrapped up with a closing ceremony which was held in the Iranian capital, Tehran.

Deputy Culture Minister for Press Affairs Hossein Entezami, Academy of Persian Language and Literature Director Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel, and a large group of cultural Officials and journalists attended the ceremony, Tehran Times reported.

Over 1500 media including newspapers, magazines, news agencies and press organizations participated in the exhibition, which is Iran’s major media event. 


Twenty-two representatives from several countries including Kuwait, Italy, Iraq, Turkey, Germany, Lebanon, Japan, France and China also attended the weeklong exhibit. 

The 21st Exhibition of Press and News Agencies announced the best stands during the closing ceremony in Tehran on Friday. 

The Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA) was selected as best stand in the news agency category and Sharvand was named best stand in the newspaper category.

The award for best stand in the press organization category was presented to Esfahan Emruz. 


Mehrnameh and Chahrfasl were honored in the magazine section. 

Each winner receives seven Bahar Azadi gold coins (worth about $300) and also gets a 50 percent discount at the next exhibition.
