Muslim scholars pay homage to Imam Khomeini

Intellectual and Muslim scholars attending an international unity Confab in Tehran has paid a visit to Imam Khomeini’s holy mausoleum.

Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought along with intellectuals, Muslim religious scholars and academic figures have paid homage to the holy shrine, which is located on the outskirts of the Iranian capital, Tehran

The intellectuals were welcomed by Ayatollah Seyyed Hassan Khomeini, the grandson of the founder of the Islamic Republic.

Addressing to the gathering of intellectual, Seyyed Hassan Khomeini said that the Iranian people under the wise leadership of Imam could lead the Islamic Revolution with reliance on God, the Almighty and the unity of expression.

He strongly denounced the acts of violence by the extremist and militant groups, saying these groups were harming the Muslims societies and playing into the hands of Tel Aviv and watching the Israeli interests in the region. 

The developments come as the conference is annually held by the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought with the aim of promoting and strengthening unity among all Muslims in the world. 

The event can provide the Muslim people worldwide a chance to get to know each other better and sort out their setbacks.
