Scholars, intellectuals shouldn’t be scared of terrorists

The grandson of Imam Khomeini says the rational people shouldn’t be scared of the Takfiri terrorist groups.

Ayatollah Seyyed Hassan Khomeini, the grandson of the founder of the Islamic Republic said that rational, intellectuals and scholars should not be afraid of the militant groups and extremists.

The internationally-reputed Muslim scholar emphasized that intellectuals need to become forward in order to express the right, well-balanced and moderate views even if they have to pay price or face dangers.

Ayatollah Seyyed Hassan Khomeini also warned that the extremists were triggering divisions and tensions among the Muslim societies.

Elsewhere in his remarks, he emphasized that Imam Khomeini led the Islamic Revolution with reliance on God, the Almighty and the unity of expression.

The Muslim world scholar made remarks while addressing to a group of academics attending an international Islamic Unity confab in the Iranian capital, Tehran.

The developments come as the recent conference annually held by the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought with the aim of promoting and strengthening unity among all Muslims in the world.
