Hassan Khomeini calls for massive participation in elections

The grandson of the founder of the Islamic Republic has called for massive participation of public masses in the historic elections.

Delivering a speech at a gathering, Ayatollah Seyyed Hassan Khomeini invited people from all walks of life to actively participate and cast their ballots on the Election Day. 

Elsewhere in his remakes, he stressed that ignoring such an important event would amount to disregarding the rights of the leading figures of the Islamic Revolution and previous generations who had rendered great sacrifices. 

Rushing to polling stations and casting ballots would also mean that we all have fulfilled our responsibility towards the next generations as well, the grandson of Imam Khomeini pointed out. 

Ayatollah Seyyed Hassan Khomeini through his messages and speeches has frequently emphasized on massive participation of people in all arenas, elections, and all social, cultural and political fields. 

He has held mass meetings with people from various echelons including seminary and university figures, activists, media men, students, workers and laborers, doctors, engineers to know their problems and encouraged them to actively participate in the country scientific and economic progress. 

Seyyed Hassan Khomeini has delivered speeches in social, cultural and religious circles to raise awareness among the public and encouraged them to protect Imam Khomeini’s divine legacy and shield the Islamic Revolution values. 

The latest remakes come as Iran is set to hold landmarks parliamentary and Assembly of Experts on February 26, 2016. 

After the establishment of the Islamic-democratic system in 1979 under the wise leadership of Imam Khomeini, Iran has organized several elections with massive public turnout. 

It is noteworthy that Imam Khomeini described the participation in elections as a religious and social duty which must be fulfilled and asked the deputies and lawmaker to keep their promises which they make during election campaign and rallies.
