Imam Khomeini Mosque in Tehran’s grand Bazaar

The grandson of the founder of Islamic Republic has visited Imam Khomeini Mosque which is located in Tehran’s grand bazaar.

Ayatollah Seyyed Hassan Khomeini, who also participated in the mourning ceremony held to mark 40th day after the passing away of Ayatollah Khonsari, also visited various parts of the mosque. 

The grandson of Imam Khomeini also met with several seminary figures and people from various walks of life after the event. 

He also met public figures to closely know about the needs and problems of the residents.

Ayatollah Hassan Khomeini was also briefed about the construction and expansion works being carried out in and around the mosque.  

  The Imam Khomeini Mosque, located right inside the Tehran Grand Bazaar,  is one of the most famous tourist attractions of Tehran.

The Imam Khomeini Mosque of Tehran dates back to early 18th century and its courtyard is accessed from several parts of the Tehran Grand Bazaar and hundreds of people say their prayers there. 

The Islamic Revolution under the leadership of Imam Khomeini put Iran on the track of progress and developments were accomplished in several fields. 

Following the victory of the revolution in 1979, the mosques became center of public gathering and beacon of cultural, social and spiritual events. 

Special libraries and study circles are formed at the mosque and people consult to seek solution of their prophets. 

Some mosques have also set up funds with help of publics to offer services for worshippers and solve the needs of common people.
