Prominent politician visits Imam’s historic residence

Mohammad Reza Aref, an Iranian politician, academic and member-elect of Iranian Parliament, has visited Imam Khomeini’s historic residence in the city of Qom.

Aref, Iran’s vice president from 2001 to 2005, was also briefed about the simply-built residence of the late founder of the Islamic Republic.

Imam’s simply-built ancestral residences in the city of Khomein and Qom has been visited by thousands of pilgrims, tourists, academic figures from across Iran and various parts of the world.

Imam Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic, also opted to live in a simple house in Tehran following the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979.  

Imam in his messages and speeches had frequently recommended senior officials to adopt a simple life-style and render services to various echelon of society, particularly the oppressed people.  

Imam Khomeini also distributed his ancestral lands among needy farms and locals in his hometown of Khomein.

Imam’s divine-oriented teachings, thought and ideals and his simple life-style continue to attract thousands of followers of all divine religions across the globe.

The triumphant of the Islamic Revolution under Imam Khomeini leadership changed the balance of power in the interest of the entire Muslim ummah, and defended and boosted the rights of the oppressed nations.
