The internationally-reputed reciters from across Iran and several other countries including Lebanon, Tunisia, Yemen, Iraq, Turkey, Nigeria, Niger, Kyrgyzstan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Mali, Afghanistan, Egypt, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Jordan.
They were deeply impressed by simple life-style of Imam Khomeini, who opted to live in the simply-built residence after becoming the founder of the Islamic Revolution in 1979.
The visitors were also briefed about an attached art gallery where Imam’s works and several objects depicting the history of the Islamic revolution have been kept.
Earlier, the teams taking part in the International Quranic competition also paid a pilgrimage to Imam Khomeini’s holy mausoleum which is located in the southern suburbs of Tehran.
The sites, which are visited by thousands of pilgrims, tourists and intellectuals from across Iran and the world, have become a beacon of social, religious and cultural gatherings in recent years.
It is worthy to mention that the divine-oriented simple lifestyle adopted by Imam Khomeini continues to attract millions of devotees; believers and the people form oppressed nations.
Imam frequently through his messages and speeches described himself as a servant to the nation.
