A prominent Christian leader says Imam Khomeini, the late founding leader of the Islamic Republic won freedoms for nations in contemporary era.
Sebuah Sirkesian, the leader of Iran’s Armenian community said that the late founder of the Islamic Republic used to describe himself as a servant to the nation.
He also went onto say that Imam Khomeini won real freedoms, and that all minorities and communities enjoy significant liberties and rights across Iran.
The Christian leader went onto say that whenever I am asked during my visits to abroad about freedoms in Iran, I always repond that we coexist peacefully and enjoy great freedoms. I invite them to come Iran and closely watch the peaceful Iranian society.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he said that Imam has been not only the leader of Muslim world, but a religious leader who supported the cause of all divine religions.
The Christian leader made remarks during a ceremony which was held on the occasion of 27th passing away anniversary of Imam Khomeini, who passed away on June 03, 1989 after reviving divine and spiritual values at very sensitive juncture of history.
