Imam Khomeini sought unity between govt and nation

Imam Khomeini frequently highlighted need for close cooperation between the government and public masses.


The late founder of the Islamic Republic used to underscore the need for close cooperation between the government and public masses.

Imam Khomeini once said in a historic address that despite serious efforts by the Islamic Republic’s government, all problems and hurdles facing the society cannot be resolved unless the mass participation of people from all walks of life. 

In the Islamic Republic system, the government is obliged to serve the people and the public masses ought to support and back the administration.  

Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Republic once described himself as a servant to the nation. 

Imam during his meetings with senior officials used to advise them to resort to all sources in order to reduce sufferings and problems of people, especially the oppressed classes of the society.

It is worthy to mention that Imam Khomeini had been a promoter of unity among Muslims, developing and oppressed nations as well. Imam also called on followers of divine religions to unite under divine banner in order to confront colonial powers, and eradicate poverty and illiteracy.
