Colonial powers failing to respect human rights

Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Republic once said in a historic address that the colonial powers have failed to respect human rights.

Imam said in a historic speech that those colonial and exploiting powers who have signed international charter for human rights were committing crimes against others by ignoring basic and fundamental rights of mankind.

The great leader of contemporary Muslim world described the charter as a positive documents and appreciated its contents, but denounced those powers who were making misuse of its and using it as a tool against others.

The researchers and experts say the term rights and its extractions have been used in Imam’s works, speeches and messages for thousands of times.

It is widely believed that Imam Khomeini attached great significance to human rights by granting greater rights to women, minorities and all religious and ethnic groups across Iran.

Imam is also considered as great champion of unity among humanity and followers of all divine religions.

He also revived the rights of oppressed nations such as Palestinians and exposed Israeli crimes on the international arena.

The emergence and victory of Islamic Revolution under the wise leadership of Imam Khomeini changed balance of power in the interests of the developing and oppressed nations across the globe.
