Summit set to elucidate Imam Khomeini’s views on rights

Secretary General of a summit on Imam Khomeini says the objective of the conference is to elucidate views of the late founder of the Islamic Republic on this subject of great significance

 Hojjat al-Islam Kazem Qazizadeh said that the summit titled “Imam Khomeini, religious government and people’s rights” is meant to explain fundamentals of Imam’s viewsin this regard.

He went onto say that around 100 scholars and intellectuals have so far sent academic articles to the secretariat on the subject. 

At least 50 of the articles which met certain criteria have been selected for publication, Qazizadeh added.

The religious scholar also pointed out that a series of study circles have been organized to discuss and present analysis about Imam’s views on certain perspectives of the topic. 

The two-day academic gathering will be held at Imam Khomeini College and research center in Tehran.

The academic gathering will be attended by Ayatollah Seyyed Hassan Khomeini, the grandson of the late founder of the Islamic Republic and several other scholars and intellectual form universities and relgious seminaries.

The event has been organized with efforts of the institute for compilation and publication of Imam Khomeini’s works in close with some other organizations and institutions.

It is worthy to mention that Imam Khomeini attached great significance to rights as the term and its derivations have been used thousands of times in his speeches, messages and academic books.

The victory of the Islamic Revolution under the wise leadership of Imam Khomeini in 1979 accomplished progress for Iran’s in several scientific and academic fields.
