Reviewing the turning points during the process of Islamic revolution we brightly see that the most important uprisings were inspired by the event of Ashura:

1-      The uprising of 15th Khordad: A turning point in the history of the revolution was forwarded by Imam Khomeini’s speech in the Ashura evening (13th Khordad 1342), As Imam Khomeini said:

The honorable people of Iran staged the crushing uprising on the inauspicious anniversary of the explosive disaster falling on 51 Khordad 2431, inspired by the events of `Ashoura. If it were not for `Ashoura and its warmth and fervor, it would not be clear whether such a revolution without organization and precedence could materialize.

3-     Imam Khomeini’s historical issuance on the 21th of Bahman 1357 to break the coup d’états and the curfew (the regime intended to arrest the main leaders of the revolution and put an end to the movement), according to Imam’s issuance people came to streets failed the regime’s intentions.

if the uprising of His Holiness, the Doyen of the Martyrs (`a) was not existed, today, we, too could not have been victorious. All this unity of expression, which was the source of our victory, was because of these mourning and grieving ceremonies.                                                   Sahifeh, vol17, Page: 51
