S Arabia must stop narrow-mindedness

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has expressed hopes that the Saudis stop their narrow-minded policies across the Mideast region.

Zarif made the remark during a recent joint press conference with his Lebanese counterpart Gebran Bassil in the Lebanese capital Beirut.

The top Iranian diplomat also said that Saudis should start helping with the fight to rid the region of Takfiri terrorism.

“We hope that the Saudi authorities swiftly put away their narrow-minded policies and help to put out the fire of Takfiri terrorism in this region,” the Iranian foreign minister said, adding, “The danger of Takfiri terrorism is not only limited to Syria or the people of Lebanon. It is an extremist ideology which also threatens the whole world.”

Elsewhere in his remarks, Zarif stressed that Iran and Lebanon share the same challenges.

The Iranian foreign minister went on to add that, “The danger of the Zionist regime not only threatens Lebanon but threatens the whole region and world.”

Zarif also noted that Iran and Lebanon share common opportunities, one of which being economic cooperation during the new international conditions. “The presence of a high-ranking Iranian economic committee in Beirut shows the serious determination of Iran’s private and government sectors for cooperation with the people of Lebanon towards creating a better tomorrow.”

It is worthy to mention that Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Republic through his speeches and messages exposed that policies adopted by ruling House of Saud in Saudi Arabia were harming the Muslim world.
