It is common among other religions and schools of thought, that annually in some special days, they call their followers for a gathering, and even participating in these gatherings is obligatory.
One of the reasons for such callings is to spread unity among the followers and also for its global feedback which is normally influential.
So is this great gathering and pilgrimage to Imam Hussain (PBUH)’s holy shrine.
This pilgrimage is somehow a sign to prove that Imam Hussain did not only belong to 1377 years ago, but he belongs to today.
This pilgrimage has an accurate meaning and it is to glorify Imam Husain (PBUH). Imam has made a movement to defend the oppressed people, and people are making the movement symbolically to say that they are still pursuing and following the footsteps of their Imam.
