Iranian president stresses same rights for all ethnicities, religions

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has stressed same rights for all ethnicities and religions.

Iranian chief executive made remarks during a recent meeting with the youth and distinguished figures of Kordestan province

“Citizens’ rights are the same for all Iranian ethnicities and religions”, the president said, adding, “We must remove wrong borders of the society and stand together”.

The president stressed that “Ethnic diversity is not a security threat, but rather security building”.

It is worthy to mention that Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Revolution recommended the relevant authorities to fully observe rights of ethnic minorities and followers of all divine religions across Iran.

Ethnic minorities and followers of all divine religions enjoy great rights and religious and social freedoms

Imam also held several meetings with spiritual leaders of Christian, Jewish and Zoroastrian communities in order to highlight their key role in the country’s progress.

The late founder of the Islamic Republic had urged followers of all divine religions to unite under banner of monotheism in order to confront aggressive policies of colonial powers.
