Every year on the last Friday of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, worldwide rallies are held to commemorate the Palestinian people’s resistance against Israel and their struggles to liberate their territories which have been occupied by Israel for decades.
This year’s Quds Day rallies will be held across the world on Friday, June 23.
International Quds Day is seen as the legacy of the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khomeini, who is revered as a spiritual leader by Muslims across the world. Back in 1979, shortly after leading an Islamic revolution which toppled the US-backed Shah of Iran, Ayatollah Khomeini named the last Friday of the fasting month of Ramadan as Quds Day.
Let’s have a look upon historical background of the Palestinian issue.
Qods is the bleeding chapter of the history of Islamic resistance struggles, every page of which is a reminiscent of an endless cry, and unlimited suppression, and an everlasting epic of sacrifice, bravery and martyrdom.
The light of monotheism upon the horizon of the Qods land – the cradle of emergence and growth of the great God messengers – during the history have been the luminescent of humanity and the true followers of Abrahamic religions.
Qods have been the former Kebla [Muslims prayer facing direction] and the beating heart of Muslims and the adytum of bleeding prayers of Palestinians who sought their rights. In addition, It is the landing point of the holly prophet Mohammad (PBUH) while his ascendance to heaven.
The holy Quran in this regard says as following:
“Exalted is He who took His Servant by night from al-Masjid al-Haram to al-Masjid al- Aqsa, whose surroundings We have blessed, to show him of Our signs. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Seeing.”
Over a century ago following publication of a book by the name of ‘the state of the Jews’ the congress of Zionists wishful of actualizing the ideal theory of Jews ‘promise land’, by relaying on world super powers support especially of Britain took the first step towards occupation of Palestine and afterward the United Nations organization recognized [the move] in 1922.
Soon Jews from every corner of the world flooded into Palestine and right from the beginning started to face with country wide protests and broad riots of the native and the natural heirs of Palestine the motherland.
But always Israelites supported by the world hegemony system against Palestinian freedom fighters and their patriotism in places like Gaza and South of Lebanon committed the most inhuman crimes of the mankind history.
t was already half a century that Palestinians were under racist and most cruel crimes of Israelites who claimed following the sacred doctrine of Moses and presented Moses monotheism and asserted the temple of ‘Heikal Suleiman’ as the excuse and the cause for their colonialist aim goals and occupation of the sacred land, no nation and no power then dared to challenge them until the world moving event of the history, the Islamic revolution of Iran based on the revival of religious culture and ‘rejection of hegemony’ shacked the illegal bases of Israel and questioned its existence on the earth.
Imam Khomeini the great leader of the Islamic revolution and the pioneer of fight against oppression and oppressor in our contemporary age on the day 16 of the month Mordad of 1358 – Iranian calendar – [equal to 1979] called the last Friday of the month Ramadan of every year as ‘the international Qods day’ and requested all freedom lovers and subordinate people of the world to guard and honor the sanctity of the Qods and by generalizing it into the day of the universal Islamic unionizing in defense of Palestine and oppressed people of the world commanded: “the Qods day is a universal day. It’s not a day just allotted for Qods. It’s the day of powerless and downtrodden people challenging powerful and haughty. It’s the day of nation’s fighting against super powers...the Qods day is the day of Islam. The Ghods day is the day that Islam has to be revived on…the day of Qods is the day that we’ve got to notify the superpowers that Islam by the solicitation of your wicked poppets will no more go under your domination. The day of Qods is the day of Islam’s living.”
After many years of prophesy of that great man of God, we witness the wide wave of acknowledging and liberality of many noble nations of the world. And Israel despite of its decades of non-stopping dominancy on poor Palestine still is suffering from a serious crisis of identity and legality of the regime and by training and fostering some unknowing and fanatic elements of radical and heretic sects as well as empowering them with weapons for blind terroristic attacks is trying to insecure and destabilize the region and the world and attempts to spread the wave of Islamophbia which is a child of extremist streams. On the other side by causing to divide people of Islamic denominations stains the power and magnificence of Islam in the world’s public eyes.
Although now a day the foreign-backed terrorist group Daesh [ISIS] is a new and hurting wound on the Islam’s body and the world peace, but Muslims in Iran and other countries same time with the other liberal people of the world condemn oppression, aggression and terrorism of every kind in every point of the world and under every name and religion and all with same and united voice reveal and nullify the ominous and shameful conspiracies of the world wicked powers.
The great and acknowledged nation of Iran including people from all walks of life once again on the last Friday of this Ramadan will participate in the massive rallies
