Imam Khomeini encouraged women to play their pivotal roles

The person who changed Iran and gave to the women of the world a worthy role model was Imam Khomeini.

Imam Khomeini, the contemporary leader of the Muslim world, also opened the doors of spiritual values and with it peace of mind and tranquility of heart for women – as well as men.

Iranian women discovered their hidden talents and capabilities within the framework of the Hijab and the benign laws of Islam for participation in all social, cultural, economic and political arenas.

The Late Imam ensured that both men and women will have their privacy – that is absent in the West.

This means any notion of immorality, obscene behavior, and undesirable relations between unrelated men and women would have no place in a really progressive society.

At the same time, women continue to play their pivotal roles as wives and mothers at home to groom children in the morally healthy atmosphere that is vital for building a sound and ethically upright society.

Iranian women rediscovered their lost dignity and were liberated from the shackles of depraved western culture following the triumph of the Islamic Revolution under the wise leadership of Imam Khomeini in 1979.

Every society is in need of the power vested by God Almighty in the feminine gender, as the half of the human society, not only in the system of procreation, but for growth in the cultural, social, economic and all other fields.

It is evident that every person, based on his/her natural abilities has the right to determined one’s own fate, and through collective efforts, that of society.

In addition to their role in building the fulcrum of the family, women have been endowed with talents to play an active and effective role in other spheres of society, in accordance with their biology, physique, and above all human dignity that protects them from doing the labourious jobs that are exclusively reserved for men.

Thus, as per the benign laws of Islam, participation of women in decision-making at home and at offices where their presence is required, makes them active elements in social arenas.

The freedom of the Hijab gave them more room to participate with power in the various arenas. The Father of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini (God bless his soul), ensured that Iran’s Muslim women would actively involved themselves in all social and political activities, keeping with their feminine dignity and preservation of Islamic values.
