The most important characteristic of the Imam was his discipline. Throughout my education, I never saw anybody as resolute and proficient as him. It never occurred that he give lectures without previous studies. He strongly believed in lectures. For instance, when he started a course in rational theology at the Salamasi Mosque in Qum, that lasted for four and half years, throughout this period except for weekend holidays, he did not appear for lessons only for two days—one of which was due to indisposition.[1]
