Participants at Karachi summit stress unity best means to combat Islamophobia

Participants of the conference stressed the need for unity among Muslims and called on the Muslim countries to take serious notice of forces hell bent on sowing seeds of discord among the Ummah.

This international conference is the gathering of Islamic scholars converged in the port of Karachi against Islamophobia. They believe Islamophobia is a Western project to reshape Islam with tools like Daesh and others.

Documentary films during the past years over the gruesome acts of Daesh in the name of Islam were played to remind people how terrorist groups were weaponized by Israel and the US to distort the face of Islam in the West.

Members of the international conference warned the Islamic countries to act quickly against the possible future threats given the previous experience with the West.

The delegations in the conference also stressed the significance of the eradication of Daesh from Iraq and Syria to save Islam and also save humanity from the plague of terrorist groups like Daesh, which is seen as a Western plot against Islam and the Islamic community. 

The conference titled ‘Unity of the Islamic World to Combat Islamophobia’ was held on the second anniversary of the martyrdom of Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani and his companions, hosted by the Culture Center of Iran in Karachi, the capital of Sindh Province.

Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought Hojjatoleslam Hamid Shahriari and members of his delegation were special guests of event.

Molavi Nazir Ahmad Salami, a member of Iranian Assembly of Experts, Hassan Nourian, the consul general of Iran in Karachi, Kamran Pezeshki, the director of Iranian Culture Center and senior leaders of political and religious parties in Karachi participated in the event.

Hojjatoleslam Hamid Shahriari as the main speaker of the program highlighting the importance of unity of Muslims and said the enemy is afraid of the formation of the Islamic Union.

He thanked the consulate general and the House of Culture of Iran in Karachi for organizing the Islamic Unity Conference and bringing together prominent personalities and supporters of unity.

Te secretary general of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought said formation of a united Ummah was one of the ideals of General Soleimani who did not spare any sacrifice to help the terrorized nations and fight against the brutal acts of ISIS in Syria and Iraq because he loved the unity of the Islamic world.

He said Unity of Muslims is the order of the Quran and the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

"Muslims must unite against the biased approach of the United States and its Western allies," said Asadullah Bhutto, the deputy leader of the Jamaat-e-Islami party in Sindh, while paying tribute to the high-ranking Islamic martyrs, including General Qasem Soleimani.

He added Americans are disgraced today in the region and in other parts of the world and in order to escape defeat and their shameful actions, they are carrying out evil conspiracies in the Islamic world and fanning the flames of division among Muslims.

Praising General Soleimani's position and his sacrifice in the fight against terrorism, the Pakistani politician said terrorism has become a tool and source of income for the arrogant powers like the United States, so Muslims must wake up and do not allow the enemies to accomplish their plans.

Allama Seyed Ahmad Iqbal Razvi, the deputy secretary general of Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) said General Soleimani is a martyr of unity and confrontation with the enemies of Islam, and he should not be considered as belonging only to one nation or country.

Emphasizing the unity of the Islamic world against common enemies, especially US-Zionist conspiracies, he added that the weakness of Shias and Sunnis is detrimental to both sides, and the problem of Muslim societies today is prejudice, ignorance, takfir, and disregard for Islamic commonalities and values.

Criticizing the attitude of some Islamic and Arab rulers towards the evil moves of the Western powers, the Pakistani religious figure called for the effective action of Islamic states against the phenomenon of Islamophobia and the salvation of Muslims from the challenges ahead.

Kamran Pezeshki, the director of Iranian Culture Center, expressing his views said we honor the names and memories of martyrs Qasem Soleimani and Abu Mehdi Al-Mohandes in the fields of cultural diplomacy and resistance.

He added Martyr Soleimani is one of the greatest and most important symbols of the culture of resistance in the international arena.

“This high-ranking martyr also has a special place in Pakistan, and the honorable people of Pakistan, after his martyrdom, paid their respects to this martyr in various ways,” he said.

Sahibzadeh Abul Khair Zubair, the chairman of the National Solidarity Council of Pakistan, expressed satisfaction with the presence of the the secretary general of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.
