Any person could see the Imam

Hujjat al-Islam wal Muslimeen Hashemi Rafsanjani, Shahed journal, no. 3

Although the Imam was away from the country for almost thirteen or fourteen years, yet he had no feeling of apprehension at all when he arrived. It seemed as if he knew that he would be getting rid of the government, establishing an administration and regulating the affairs of the state appropriately. With a mind at ease and without observing even the basics of safety and security, he would get in touch with the people inside a room that had glass windows and doors on all sides—and there was absolutely no controlling of the people’s attendance meaning that there was nobody at the entrance who could control the multitude. Anyone could see the Imameasily.
