The summit was held with close coordination of several organizations and institutions in the Iranian capital on Wednesday.
The summit of great significance was widely welcomed by academics and intellectuals from Iran. The scholars from Indian subcontinent, Arab nations, Western states and several other regions of the world also attended the conference.
The scholars discussed the pure Islamic views and practices undertaken by of holy prophet of Islam (peace be upon him) to interact and engage diplomatically with other nations.
They delivered several articles and speeches, highlighting that the holy prophet used soft means of power and diplomacy to attract and integrate with other nations towards Islamic and spiritual teachings.
They went on say that Imam Khomeini the founder of the Islamic Republic followed the footsteps of the holy prophet and infallible Imams. He resorted to soft diplomacy and engaged the international community with patience and wisdom, they added.
The scholars emphasized that the great Imam undertook serious efforts to unite the followers of monotheism and oppressed nations. He also confronted western imperialism and communism in difficult circumstances with Islamic diplomacy of wisdom, the intellectuals noted.
Several staff members from the institute for compilation and publication of Imam Khomeini also participated in the summit and conducted several interview with international scholars including Zafar Bangesh, the head of the Islamic Institute in Canada.
