Institute set to launch Imam Khomeini’s cultural week

The opening ceremony will be held on January 2 at Imam Khomeini’s birth city of Khomein and will be attended by senior officials, political figures, cultural personalities and academics and intellectuals.

The institute for compilation and publication of Imam Khomeini’s works has organized the week with close coordination of cultural organizations, Khomein’s mayor and local management officials.

Dr. Ali Komsari, head of the institute for compilation and publication of Imam Khomeini's works at a press briefing confirmed that the opening ceremony will be held on January 02 and explained programs due to be held during the week of great significance.

He also said that last year's cultural week was widely welcomed by intellectuals and various walks and classes of public masses.

The events to run until January 09 are being held at the birth anniversary of Imam Khomeini, which coincided with auspicious birth anniversary of Hazrat Fatima, the beloved daughter of the holy prophet of Islam.

During the cultural week, special events, sessions, seminars, conferences and gatherings will be held to introduce public masses with Imam Khomeini's messages and dynamic ideals.

Special financial packages are among other activities organized in order to help the needy people and fulfill their economic needs.

It also comes as devotees across the world will be marking 4th anniversary of late top Iranian anti-terror commander General Qassem Soleimani as an undisputed champion in various spheres of the resistance front.

January 3, 2024, is the fourth anniversary of the martyrdom of Lt. Gen. Qasem Soleimani, commander of the Quds Force of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC).

Hajj Qassem was assassinated by US occupation forces in Iraq alongside his longtime friend and colleague Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, Iraq's Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) Second-in-Command.

The world only knew after his martyrdom that martyr Hajj Qassem was the mastermind behind West Asia's axis of resistance, but today in the aftermath of the Al Aqsa Flood operation in occupied Palestine and the supporting fronts in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Yemen we not only see his blessed touch, we feel his presence with every call cried out by resistance movements as they fight back the aggression of both Zionist Israel and the US occupation in our region.
