Pakistanis consider Imam Khomeini symbol of resistance and justice

Pakistani people considerer Imam Khomeini the founder of the Islamic Republic as a symbol of resistance against tyranny and seek justice by resorting to his teachings and guidance.

Dozens of members of peaceful Shia Muslim community have been killed in military attacks in northwestern, southwestern and other regions across Pakistan over some past few months.

The public and masses in the southwestern Pakistani city of Quetta and northwestern town of Parachinar have posted the photos of Imam Khomeini at several locations including in homes, at businesses and public avenues.

This comes as pro-Taliban anti-Shia groups have launched a violent campaign against the Shia Muslims, and are stretching the campaign from northwest toward the restive southwestern Pakistan as well.

Quetta, the capital of Pakistan's restive southwestern Baluchistan province has witnessed several instances of violence directed against the Hazara Shia community in recent months.

Several Shia religious gatherings have also been targeted in central province of Punjab over the past months.

Imam Khomeini always used to strongly condemn any type of violence against Muslims or the oppressed people in any part of the world. Pakistanis have special respect for the great Imam and consider him their spiritual mentor and religious leader.

The great Imam is considered as symbol of resistance and justice for the all Muslims and the oppressed nations. Analysts believe that divine personality of Imam will continue to rule over the soul and hears of the nations in several coming centuries.
