President Pezeshkian thanks Leader for support, stresses unity as shield against enemy attacks

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has expressed his appreciation for Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei for supporting his administration, saying unity and national cohesion are key to counter enemy attacks.

Pezeshkian made the remarks during a ceremony in Tehran on Monday to mark the beginning of the Government Week, the week leading up to the 1981 martyrdom anniversary of Iran’s then president Mohammad Ali Rajaei and Prime Minister Mohammad Javad Bahonar by the Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) terrorist cult.

He warned that creating divisions either within Iran or among Muslim nations serves the interests of the Israeli regime, saying, “If we are united, the enemies and the Zionist regime will not dare attack us.”

He added that unity and solidarity will protect the country in the face of the enemies’ attacks, emphasizing that any rhetoric that undermines cohesion inside Iran and even among Muslim and neighboring countries is undesirable and a betrayal.

He said Israel and the United States are making efforts to sow seeds of division and discord among Muslims in order to pit regional nations against one another.

The Iranian president called for an end to the conflicts, both domestically and with neighboring countries, urging Muslim nations to foster unity.

Pointing to Ayatollah Khamenei’s remarks on Sunday in support of his administration, Pezeshkian said the Leader’s emphasis and guidelines and his benevolence towards the administration “make our work and duty more difficult in achieving the goals of the [Islamic] Revolution and the path of [the late founder of the Islamic Republic] Imam [Khomeini] ".

The president stressed the importance of serving the Iranian people and solving their problems, calling on the nation to reinforce unity and act based on prudence, knowledge and support for the Leader.

He vowed to make his utmost to solve problems inside the country and strengthen unity and cohesion, both domestically and with neighboring and Muslim countries.

Ayatollah Khamenei: Unity between people, officials, Armed Forces must never be undermined

Ayatollah Khamenei on Sunday stressed the need to preserve national unity and support the country’s officials, warning that the enemies are seeking to create divisions after having failed to defeat Iran through war.

According to the Leader, all Iranians, including intellectuals and media figures, need to safeguard the unity achieved in the wake of the war and support public servants, particularly the “hardworking and tireless president.”
