Imam Khomeini Strongly Backed rule of Law in Society

The founder of the Islamic Republic showed his strong opposition to any type of lawlessness and intended to institutionalize the rule of law for masses and elites through all layers of the society.

The above remarks were made by scholars, academics and law experts who attended a recently held summit in the holy city of Qom.

A large number of scholars, seminary scholars and university professors presented their articles and delivered speeches to highlight the Imam’s jurisprudential views about the constitution and law.

The scholars also noted that Imam wanted the relevant authorities and legislators to devise and draft the constitution as soon possible following the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran in 1979.

The law experts and jurists told the audience of the summit that Imam wanted to prevent any type of law violations and wanted all to respect the law in order to snub any type of disorder.

Imam maintained that all matters and disputes must be resolved in accordance with the country law.

Imam obliged the relevant authorities and institutions for devising constitutions which covered all aspects of international law and observed all social, moral and religious values.

Imam urged all strata of the society to respect and obey the laws and regulations in all perspectives in their daily basis and social life.

Given to this reason, Iran emerged as stronger nation under the wise leadership of Imam Khomeini who preferred to call himself as servant of the nation and invited all officials to undertake serious efforts for the progress of the society.

The great Imam showed great respect to law and constitution of the country and advised all others to address the issues and settle the differences within the law.
