Imam Khomeini Slammed Israeli Crimes against Palestinians

Imam Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic frequently used to censured the Israeli crimes, occupation and repeated aggressions against the oppressed Palestinian nation

“All must know that the superpowers aim in creating Israel does not end in the occupation of Palestine. They plan, Heaven forbid, extending the fate of Palestine to all Arab countries,” Imam Khomeini once said, adding, “Do not the authorities of the nation see or know that diplomatic talks with history’s criminal and powerful politicians cannot save Lebanon, Palestine or Quds and the number of crimes and oppressions increases daily.”

“Neither the Iranian Muslim nation, nor any other Muslims and, as a matter of fact, no open-minded individual, will recognize Israel. We shall always support our Arab and Palestinian brothers,” Imam Khomeini said on an occasion

A total of 163 Palestinians, most of them women and children, have lost their lives in the impoverished region since Tuesday. Nearly 1,100 others have been also injured in the ongoing deadly air raids.

The Israeli military has called up thousands of reservists for a possible large-scale ground invasion into the Gaza Strip.

Palestinian resistance movement Hamas has warned that it is prepared to hit back at Israeli forces should the Tel Aviv regime launch a ground attack on Gaza.

Meanwhile, Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani has condemned the Israeli regime’s systematic crimes against Palestinians.

Rouhani, who is also the rotating head of the Non-Aligned Movement, has in a statement called on all regional and international bodies to move quickly to help end the Gaza blockade and dispatch humanitarian aid to the besieged enclave.

Rouhani also ordered Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif to use the full capacity of the Non-Aligned Movement to condemn and confront Israel’s brutal offensive on Gaza.

The Iranian president talked to the leaders of several key NAM members countries as well as the Arab League Secretary General regarding the issue. Rouhani said the massacre of innocent women and children in Gaza is unbearable and against all humanitarian and international rules.

Rouhani said the UN Security Council has yet to react to the Israeli attacks, highlighting the need for a more active UN role.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif is urging international action to halt the deadly Israeli airstrikes on Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

In an interview with NBC news, Zarif said the United States and other members of the UN Security Council are morally and legally responsible to make Tel Aviv stop its escalation.

The Iranian foreign minister described the retaliatory attacks by Hamas as self-defense, adding that Tehran never condemns people who are defending themselves against aggression.
