Iraqi Tribe Leaders Visit Imam Khomeini Historic Residence

A group of religious leaders and tribe's leaders from various regions of Iraq have visited Imam Khomeini’s historic simply-built residence of the late founder of the Islamic Republic in the northern part of the Iranian capital Tehran.

The visitors also included a prominent guardian of the holy shrine of the holy prophet's companion, Salman Farsi

They were deeply impressed by simple lifestyle of the spiritual and religious leader of the Muslim world and appreciated Imam’s devotion for his country and the oppressed nations across the globe.

Several group of visitors and tourists visit Imam Khomeini house where the great leader opted to reside following the victory of the Islamic Revolution in more than three decades ago.

The visitors also paid a visit to an art gallery which contains several images, painting, and documents reflecting the historic passage of the Islamic Revolution. Each of these objects bears a description and show the history of the greatest movement of the twentieth through the years. The art gallery also contains a video library and virtual electronic tours about the Islamic Revolution, key personalities and events.

They were also briefed about the key events which led to the downfall of monarchy and victory of the Islamic Revolution.

The tourists were also informed about precious works of Imam Khomeini covering the various fields including jurisprudence, philosophy, poetry and theology. It is noteworthy that several of Imam’s works have been translated into dozens of languages over the past few years. The works are also available in digital library section of this website.

The simply built residences of Imam attract millions of pilgrims from around the world each year.

Ruhullah Musawi Khomeini was born on 20 Jamadi al-Akhir 1320/ 24 September 1902-coincidence with the birth anniversary of Hadrat Fatima (PBUH)-in the small town of Khomein, some 160 kilometers to the southwest of the holy city of Qom.

After decades of struggle, the Islamic revolution under the wise leadership of Imam Khomeini gained the victory. The Islamic-democratic system establish by the great Imam brought great status and confidence to the Iranian nation and rest of the Islamic world.

Several pundits and analysts believe that Imam Khomeini restored dignity to the whole Muslim world and the oppressed nations around the globe.
