A Person that Remained Unknown

Mrs. Saqafi was in this by her high spirit, noble efforts and knowing her prestige and as a woman she was able to break the walls of traditions in her time.

There have been a lot of characters which everyone refers to them as a great person, but there are more unknown characters which have had influence on the life of others. The honorable lady, late Mrs. Saqafi was among those characters. She was as a moon that wasn’t seen because being near to the sun.

I want to say that the greatness of Mrs. Saqafi was in this by her high spirit, noble efforts and knowing her prestige and as a woman she was able to break the walls of traditions in her time. She was an outstanding character that we could easily name her the “Revolution’s Mother”. Only this issue that Imam loved her so much that he couldn’t live without her, shows her great position.

Who ever talked with her would have been admired by her knowledge in what we today call anthropology, sociology, history, communication and geography. She was great in politics.

Her spirit when Imam was in the peak of his power and worldwide fame was the same when Imam was in exile and lived in Najaf. Everyone would confess that power had no influence on her soul and didn’t make her arrogant. She was kind and appreciative. And she wasn’t like this only on the surface but it was because of her personality that she had tried hard for it several years.

She was able to make her character as a woman somehow that I believe that the positive look towards women which exists in our society is because of her character which at the same time it still remains unknown.

May God bless her and her husband and children.
