In occasion of Imam Khomeini’s demise anniversary last day a ceremony as held with the participation of a number of Imam’s lovers and local officials at the place of Iran’s embassy in Havana.
Ali Chegeni, Iranian Ambassador to Havana by giving a speech during this ceremony talked about some of Imam’s virtues.
Mentioning the coincidence of Imam’s demise and the birth of Imam Ali (a.s.), he pointed to some of the commonalities between Imam Khomeini and his ancestor, Imam Ali (a.s.), and counted one the most important commonality between them as having a two-dimensional character.
Gathering characteristics such as being revolutionary and brave besides having an artistic taste, elegant nature and mystical peace in Imam Khomeini shows his connection to the eternal divine blessing and him being a multi-dimension person.” said Chegeni.
The Iranian Ambassador also stated: “Imam Khomeini besides being a great Faqih, was a great philosopher, a complete mystic and a master of mysticism. Usually these kind of characteristics aren’t gathered in one person.”
Chegeni named Imam’s piety, conduct and clearness as the main wealth of the Islamic revolution and the base of all its achievements. He mentioned that the absence of a gap between Imam and the nation was the main reason of the strong bond between people and him.
The greatest gift of Imam’s leadership to the Islamic nation, especially the heroic nation of Iran, is their national self-esteem and confidence for improvement and correct movement in the path of independence and a development based on religious and indigenous values.” stated Ali Chegeni in his speech.
