A Ceremony for the Anniversary of the Demise of Imam Khomeini Was Held in Beočin, Serbia

A ceremony for the 23rd anniversary of the demise of Imam Khomeini was held in Beočin, located in Vojvodina province northern Serbia, with the efforts of Iran’s embassy and culture center and the cooperation of the house of culture and Islamic Community of Vojvodina.

Abolqassem Delfi, Iranian Ambassador to Serbia, delivered a speech at this ceremony and counted the Islamic Republic of Iran as the greatest heritage of the Imam which has brought dignity for the Iranians.

Fadil Murati, the Mufti of Vojvodina also delivered a speech about the position and life of Imam Khomeini and his leadership during the Islamic revolution at this ceremony.

Vojvodina’s Mufti said: “Imam Khomeini had denoted all his life to Islam and the Muslims and he always thought of establishing a divine path.”

He mentioned that the late Imam always pointed that the only path is the path of God and following his divine orders.

The founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran not only had a place in the hearts of Iranians but also in the heart of all the Muslims of this city and this is why us Muslims are gathered here to commemorate his name and memory.” stated Fadil Murati, the Mufti of Vojvodina.

Farid Eftekhari, the representative of Iran’s culture center in Serbia at this ceremony pointed to the unique specifications of the late Imam and said that the founder of the Islamic Republic doesn’t only belong to Iran and Iranians but he belongs to all Muslims.

During this ceremony, a song about Prophet Mohammad was sang by a group of reciters of Beočin.
