Ashura rallies led to collapse of Shah regime: Imam Khomeini

The great leader of the Muslim tanked millions of Iranians for staging rallies on the religious occasion of Ashura which led to collapse of the dictatorial and brutal Pahlavi regime in Iran.

The rallies were held just the year leading to the victory of the landmark Islamic Revolution in 1979.

 

Imam said in a historic message that he felt sense of pride as masses and public had sought the downfall of the Shah regime and its replacement by an Islamic-democratic system.

 

While appreciating the nation’s struggle, Imam advised the public to be remaining vigilant against the enemies’ conspiracies and warned them of any laziness or sluggishness on the way to accomplishing final objectives.

 

Imam further issued a warning for those countries that was signing precious oil contracts and deal with the Pahlavi regime, saying the Shah has no legitimacy and so the agreements are invalid.

 

The great leader also guided the senior high-ranking military officials to immediately give up their support for brutal Shah regime and join the public in order to achieve the divine objectives.

 

The political analysts and pundits say the Ashura rallies were decisive factors in boosting the Islamic cause and leading the Islamic revolution towards victory under the wise leadership of Imam Khomeini.

 

The great Imam had  emphasized on several occasions that the Islamic Revolution in Iran was inspired by the Ashura and this legacy must be kept and preserved for the coming generations.

 

The Islamic Revolution emerged victorious under the   leadership of the great Imam which set stage for the prosperity of the Iranian and other oppressed nations across the world.

 

 

The great Imam wanted to seek great bonds and amicable ties between the people and all government institutions.
