The book titled as ‘Yad wa Yadgar’ was unveiled at an inauguration ceremony of a recently-held international summit in honor of Imam Khomeini's late wife, Khadijah Thaqafi, known as Quds-Iran. The senior government officials were present at the ceremony.
The book details Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s discussions with honorable Khadijah Thaqafi and her views about Imam Khomeini’s divine personality.
The supreme leader used to visit Imam Family at least once in a year after passing away of the great Imam. Seyyed Ahmad Khomeini, the late son of Imam and other family members also used to be present in these family gatherings.
The book highlights the divine personality of Imam and also displays innumerous sacrifices rendered by Imam’s family for the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
The collection of memoirs also shows the supreme leader’s high devotion towards Imam, and contains several pieces of advices, guidance for believers and followers of Imam.
The supreme leader had once said immediately after passing away of Imam Khomeini that the Iranian nation which has been major supporter of great Imam, still needs to review lessons and guidance by great Imam. However the supreme leader had emphasized that we still remain distant from fully becoming acquainted with the various perspectives of Imam Khomeini’s comprehensive personality.
The remarks by the supreme leader in the book have been highlighted in green while the comments by Imam’s spouse and other family members have been distinguished in a black color.
The precious book underscores several social, individual, social and cultural aspects of Imam’s life.
The collection underscored the divine perspectives of Imam Personality, introduces Imam as role model, and highlights unique and unprecedented characteristics including piety, simple life style of Imam Khomeini.

Lady Khadijah belonged to a religious family of Ayatollah Thaqafi and had leaned divine knowledge and manners from her father. She had stood behind Imam like a solid rock through all stages of the Islamic Revolution.
The lady Khadija described one of the most difficult and tough times of her life when the great leader of the Islamic world Imam Khomeini passed away and departed to heavens. She stood by her children and the revolution after the Imam’s passing away.
Late Lady Khadija is known as mother of the Islamic Revolution and her sacrifices are hailed and appreciated by all the entire Iranian nation and divine people around the world.
