Imam Khomeini Relief Foundation was founded in March 1979 as a charity organization to provide support for poor families.

The key objective has been to help such families regain financial stability. The foundation has also provided support to several regions outside of Iran.

During this year’s holy month of Ramadan, Iran’s Imam Khomeini Relief Foundation continued to extend a helping hand to the impoverished people in the besieged Gaza Strip in Palestine.

The foundation had been providing Iftar meals for thousands of families in the area in the holy month of Ramadan.

The foundation always also set up relief camps in those regions which are hit or affected by natural disasters such as earthquakes or flash floods.

The Islamic Revolution emerged triumphant under unprecedented and wise leadership of Imam Khomeini in 1979. The great Imam took several initiatives to change the destiny and world political and economic circumstances in the interest of the oppressed and poor nations.
