Imam Khomeini, a beacon of light

A Lebanese scholar says the founder of the Islamic Republic has been a beacon of light and guidance in the contemporary history.

Speaking in the Iranian city of Mashhad, Shaykh Abdul-Mo’nem al-Qubaysi, a Lebanese Shia  scholar living in Ivory Coast, stated that Imam Ruhollah Khomeini revived Islam in the last century and was a beacon of light and a guide for the Muslims the world, ABNA reported.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran has the highest safety, security, energy, science and wealth among the countries of the Muslim world, and [Iranians] should recognize their own value and the power of their Islamic system,” he said.

His Eminence said that the Supreme Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, renewed the path of Imam Khomeini, saying if it wasn’t for Ayatollah Khamenei’s guidance and support and the blood of Iranian soldiers and martyrs, Syria, Iraqi and Lebanon would have been destroyed by ISIL Takfiri terrorists.

Shaykh al-Qubaysi stressed that if a decree issued by Imam Khomeini mobilized 20 million people, a decree from Ayatollah Khamenei can mobilize the whole world. “Ayatollah Khamenei is the leader of the Muslims of the world,” he added.

The Lebanese scholar added that the American President, Barack Obama, also understands that the Islamic Republic of Iran cannot be defeated because the Supreme Leader will not allow Iran’s family culture to be destroyed by Western culture.
