Imam Khomeini’s views on Assembly of experts

The institute is set to hold a special session on Imam Khomeini’s views about the Assembly of Experts.

The Qom branch of institute for compilation and publication of Imam Khomeini’s works will hold the summit to discuss the duties of the Assembly of Experts.

Seminary and university scholar will cite views from the works of the founder of the Islamic Republic and deliver speeches and lectures in this regard.

This comes as Iran is set to hold Assembly of Experts and parliamentary elections.  Senior Iranian officials have urged all eligible Iranians to turn out en masse and vote in the upcoming polls in an effort to guarantee the security of Islamic Iran.


Iran’s Assembly of Experts for the Leadership was established in 1982 under Article 107 of the Iranian constitution. Nearly 90 members are popularly elected every eight years and they should all be Islamic jurisprudence scholars. 

Iranian Revolution under the wise leadership of Imam Khomeini emerged victorious in 1979 and set best pattern of Islamic-democratic government. The Islamic system resulted in significant progress of the Iranian nation and strengthened all Muslim and oppressed people across the globe.
