Ceremony marks passing away anniversary of Imam’s fellow

A gathering has been organized to mark the first passing away anniversary of late Seeyyed Sadiq Tabatabai, the great devotees and supporter of the Islamic Revolution.

The ceremony was attended by Iranian cultural Minister Ali Jannati, senior officials, university and seminary figures and people from various walks of life.

The speakers during their speeches highlighted the services rendered by Sadegh Tabatabai during his lifetimes.

The lecturers highlighted the great moral excellence and moderation practiced by Sadegh Tabatabai during various circumstances and conditions after the triumphant of the Islamic Revolution

Late Seyed Sadegh Tabatabai has been brother in law of late Hajjat al-Islam Seyyed Ahmad Khomeini, the son of the founder of the Islamic Republic; Imam Khomeini.

Tabatabai, the nephew of Imam Musa al-Sadr, served as the government spokesman under Prime Minister, Mehdi Bazargan.

The late Tabatabai severed on various positions following victory of the Islamic Revolution following victory in 1979.

Tabatabai , a well-known writer, academic and university professor,  left a lot of memoirs about events leading to emergence of the Islamic Revolution under the wise leadership of Imam Khomeini.

It is notable that Imam established a comprehensive Islamic-democratic system following the victory of Islamic Revolution in 1979. The progressive Islamic government caused prosperity and development for the Iranian nation and strengthened the oppressed people around the globe.

It is widely known that Imam Khomeini had assigned Tabatabai with the responsibility of coordination among all institution in a bid to organize first referendum soon after the victory of the revolution.

A vast majority of people voted in favor of establishing Islamic-Republic system. Iran has held several presidential, parliamentary and Assembly of expert elections over the past years.
